The Census is a huge problem, and it is rather hard to count Americans, as people love their privacy, and we have no idea how many people are in our nation right now. There may be as many as some 30 million illegal aliens as well, they certainly will not wish to be counted or contacted.
But even legal Americans, regular folks do not trust enough to give any information, worse some of the Census workers have been reported as former Ex-cons, members of ACORN, and folks do not like that much, it's been all over the media scaring them. I've met a few Census Workers in my travels, those who have been doing the training, it is rather comprehensive, and it does provide jobs, which is nice during a recession.
Indeed, I've also sat down with division heads in Tucson AZ for coffee, it is very interesting. And most people do not realize how important demographics really are.
You see, I do because, as we used this data in business to decide where to open franchises, even the "Tiger Files" which are after market data service projections are very valuable between Census times. And after looking at the data and then going to these cities to take personal assessment, I have been critical of the data. Thus, I very much question all the implications of Ken Dychtwald and Robert J. Shapiro, because they are perhaps basing their predictions on bad data. And it's not that I think they are wrong, I question the data.
You see, I've been to every single city in the US over 10,000 people and often the data is just wrong, and since the FED, US Government is using this data to make decisions, whoops, well, you see the problems. Please consider this.
